So it makes perfect sense that we've chosen to team up with the Pink Ribbon charity this October. The charity raises awareness of the importance of early detection of breast cancer and supports research in this field.

Prevention is better than cure!
According to current estimates, 1 in 8 women will be affected by breast cancer during their lifetime. It is the leading cause of death among women and every year there are more than 58,500 cases and over 12,000 deaths.
The good news is that if detected early, 9 out of 10 cases of breast cancer can be successfully treated. 😃
The not-so-good news is that only 1 in 2 women takes part in an organised screening programme. 😩
To encourage as many women as possible to be screened - whatever their age - the Pink Ribbon charity has been running its Pink October campaign for the past 28 years, with the aim of raising public awareness of the importance of early screening and raising money for research.
